We Take Safety to New
Heights |
At R.D. Bean, we fully train our employees in all aspects of
jobsite and equipment safety, and comply with all relevant
Federal/OSHA regulations, as well as safety regs specific
to Maryland and Virginia. In addition, to protect the
interests of our clients and the safety of our employees,
we give every employee a drug screening and physical
before employment. After we hire an employee, we
thoroughly train them in such areas as:
- Fall protection on steep and low-slope roofs
- Hazard communication and the use of MSDA books
- Perimeter safety lines, guardrails, and safety harnesses and
lines
- Crane safety and hand signals
- Scaffolds
- Electrical equipment, safety hazards and the
High Voltage Act
- Fire protection and use of fire equipment
- Company safety policies and OSHA general housekeeping
policies
We also employ a full-time safety coordinator to oversee jobsite safety
inspections and safety training. This professional has completed
applicable training in safety and safety instruction by OSHA as well as
the Washington Metropolitan Area Construction Safety Association, Inc.
Our safety coordinator holds weekly and monthly meetings to review our
safety training programs, and we conduct mandatory safety training for
all employees each year with periodic updates. |
